Detailed versus Minimalist Display Toggle

Based on feedback from our Discord fans, we’ve added a toggle for the HUD. Players can choose a detailed display of their current health and shields alongside their maximum stats and regeneration rates. Alternatively, they may opt for a more minimalist display that shows only their current health and shields.

Lighting Optimization

By optimizing our light sources, we boosted framerates by an additional 10 to 30 frames per second, depending on the user’s graphics settings and hardware. Making our games playable on a wide range of hardware is an ongoing goal.

We greatly improved shadow pop-in, effectively eliminating it. Environment shadows now render no matter how far away the player is. Dynamic shadows fade in and out instead of harshly popping.

New Weapon Types

Shotgun type weapons have been prototyped. They have a variety of spreads, with some more effective at close range, and others performing better at medium range.

Using some of the same code, we are now working on burst-fire type weapons. These will also fire multiple rounds. However, they won’t spread, and there will be a short delay between each round in a burst. Intended for precision and medium range combat, burst-fire weapons will be an efficient way to get the most damage out of your ammo.
